During this new version of the Airbus Discovery Tour, military and commercial aviation will reveal their secrets !

The J.L. Lagardère site is entirely dedicated to final assembly and flight preparations of the A380. It occupies an area of 50 hectares, including a 10-hectare assembly hall.
The Airbus Discovery tour will reveal all the secrets of the world’s only true double-decker, from the design stage through to the commercial service and will enable you to board the emblematic military aircraft of Airbus the A400M to find out all there is to know about military aviation and transport.

On the programme:

  • 1st stage / Telemetry room: presentation of the A380 programme and its certification campaign (first flights & test campaigns)
  • 2nd stage / J.L. Lagardère Plant: from a belvedere built into the plant, enjoy the view over the interior and exterior general testing stations, and over the whole site. Detailed presentation of the A380 production process.
  • 3rd stage /  Visit inside the A400M : on board, visitors will discover every missions of a military aircraft for transport and in-flight refuelling and particularly the ones of the aircraft they are visiting, the MSN1, the very first A400M for flight tests.

Practical information

  • Guided tours for individuals and groups
  • Advance booking required
  • ID required : EU nationals: passport or ID card / non-EU: passport. No driving license nor residence permit accepted.
  • Advance booking for non-EU nationals: two full working days (not including Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays) before the date of the visit
  • Tours available in French, English and Spanish subject to availabilty, (German, Italian, Chinese, subject to availabilty for groups only)
  • Cameras/camcorders and pets are not allowed
  • A380 site: access to the panoramic platform by lift only
  • Guided tours last 90 minutes
  • All year round from 8:00 am to 7 pm except Sundays and bank holidays
