Come and explore La Défense Arena in Paris! Situated in the centre of the business district of La Défense, this all-new Arena is now open to the public. Our tour will allow you to discover the heart of this immense complex.
One of the capital’s key event venues, this compound, despite being very new, has already welcomed an impressive lineup of celebrities. Paris La Défense Arena was inaugurated in October 2017, and hosted three exclusive Rolling Stones concerts on its first three nights!
The defining feature of this complex is its ability to host a wide range of events of all types, not just sport events. Well-integrated within its economic environment, part of the building houses the Conseil Départemental des Hauts-de-Seine where 1,500 employees are based.
and records !!
A truly multimodal sports venue, Paris La Défense Arena is also home to the Racing 92 rugby club, one of France’s Top 14 teams. During the tour, you will walk on the turf of the Arena where these great rugby players train.
In 2024, the Arena will host the gymnastics competition of the Paris Olympic Games. The size of the Arena is truly impressive. The compound is twice the usual size of standard European arenas. It is the world’s only stadium with a U-shaped grandstand allowing the sublimation of the many emotions of a live performance, on the pitch or on stage, thanks to the latest innovations. Facing the grandstands, you will see the largest indoor screen in the world, covering 1,400 square metres. With a capacity of 40,000 (for concerts) or 32,000 (for rugby matches), it is the largest multimodal sports venue in Europe with almost twice the capacity of the AccorHôtel Arena (Bercy). The facade is covered with 592 giant aluminium and glass plates lit by 3,000 LED strips, offering a spectacular display in 16 million colours. The venue is equipped with a Wifi network system that can host 15,000 connections simultaneously.
During the tour, your guide will tell you all about the genesis of the project, the key features of the compound, and share some of the site’s many stories.
You will then enter the personal quarters of the Racing 92 Club. You will explore the changing rooms of both the home club and the guest teams. These rooms are equipped with everything that Racing 92 need to remain competitive within the Top 14 (sports rooms, hot and cold water pools, massage and physiotherapy parlours…).
After a brief stop in the Racing 92’s official pressroom, we will make our way upstairs to visit the lounges situated on the second floor. This floor has a circular shape and wraps around the entire Arena grandstand. This one is only dedicated to salons. A total of seven venues of various sizes are rented by corporate brands on a yearly basis. They host numerous events involving businesses, conferences and seminars. Each of the venues is equipped with a central office and staffed by stewards who respond to the needs of guests during events.
One of these venues stands out by its design and its importance. It is the VIP lounge of the Paris La Défense Arena compound. This is a unique chance to enter and, thanks to your guide, learn all of its secrets. From this lounge you can access the VIP terrace, a luxury area situated just opposite the giant screen. The tour ends with the third floor that houses a row of 90 boxes. Each one of these boxes gives access to another raised terrace that looks down over the Arena. From this area, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire compound.
